Martha Louise Boss Fox, 71, of Tifton died Friday, November 22, 2013, at Tift Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 27, 2013, at Tifton's First Assembly of God. Rev. John Thomas will officiate with burial to follow in Weeks Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery in Colquitt County. Zachary Willis, Brandon Vickers, Garrett Fox, Will Stuckey, Waylon Stuckey, Richard Godley and Mike Delk will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Fox was born on July 24, 1942 in Chickamauga and was the daughter Henry Boss and Bessie Wallin Boss, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Alex Fox, Sr. and a grandchild, Stacey Willis. She was retired from the Georgia Department of Transportation and loved flowers and working in her yard. She loved her grandkids and loved the beach. She had lived in Tifton for the past eight years. Mrs. Fox touched many lives with her kindness, caring and love and she had a natural gift with every child she came in contact with. She loved God and always knew His comforting words to say. Her faith, trust and beliefs were an inspiration to all and will be missed by family and friends.
Mrs. Fox is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Alex “Sandy”, Jr. and Leslie Fox of Ashburn, Virginia and Robert and Dori Fox of Watkinsville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Jerry Merritt of Tifton and Robbie Deanna and Jeff Bridges of Ty Ty; two brothers, Henry Boss and Joseph Boss; one sister, Betty Strickland; and six grandchildren, Garrett Fox, Emily Fox, Lauren Fox, Dylan Fox, Brandon Vickers and Zachary Willis; three great-grandchildren, Timmy Willis, Chance Willis and Colton Willis; and many nieces and nephews.
