EVARISTO JUAREZ

Evaristo passed away on November 19, 2013 due to injuries sustained from a tragic accident that occured while on a walk to see his beloved wife, Georgiana (Dee Dee) Juarez, at the Tortilla Flats Murals.

Evaristo arrived in the U.S. in 1941 through the Bracero Program. He stayed at the Bracero Camp on Shell Road off Ventura. After the program ended, he worked at the Coastal Lemon Company's Packing House for 20 years. he later began working at Community Memorial Hospital and finally retired after 20 years of service. Evaristo was a proud Mexican living in the United States. He was grateful for all that the country offered and allowed him to provide for his family.

The family would like to express their gratitude and thanks to Juanita and Raudel (Joe) Banuelos Sr. for always making sure Evaristo had transportation to and from his appointments.

He is survived by sons James (Regina) and Joseph (Carol) Juarez both of Ventura; Daughters Juanita (Joe) Banuelos and Mary Frances Barron both of Ventura; 8 grand children; 13 great-grandchildren; preceded in death by his beloved wife Georgiana "DeDe" Juarez and a daughter Josie Juarez.

Family and Friends are invited to visiting hours on Monday evening November 25, 2013 from 4 to 8pm with a rosary at 6PM at JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME 757 E. Main Street Ventura. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday November 26, 2013 at 10AM in Mission San Buenaventura Main Street Ventura, Interment will follow in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park.
