DUDLEY – Anna (Niemiec) Krzyston, 78, died Wednesday, November 20, 2013 in Harrington Healthcare at Hubbard, Webster, after being stricken ill at home.
She leaves her husband of 57 years, Wojciech Krzyston; 3 daughters, Janina Dojczewska and her husband Wieslaw of Toronto, Canada, Zofia Plewa and her husband Kazimierz of Quinebaug, CT and Jadwiga Nowak and her husband Jozef of Dudley; 7 grandchildren, Agnieszka, Marcin, Katarzyna, Dorota, Anna, Grzegorz and Victoria; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Maria Debski, Aniela Jankowski and Zofia Kokosinska, all of Dudley; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Jan M. Krzyston in 2000 and by a sister, Katarzyna Bryniarski.
She was born in Kluszkowce, Poland, daughter of Stanislaw and Katarzyna (Mazgaj) Niemiec. She lived in Poland before moving here in 1982.
Mrs. Krzyston worked on a farm in Poland. She was then a stitcher at Ethan Allen for 20 years before retiring in 2004.
She was a communicant of Saint Andrew Bobola Church. She enjoyed gardening and cooking.
The funeral will be held Saturday, November 23, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School St., Webster, with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Andrew Bobola Church, 54 West Main Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace, Webster. Calling hours are from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, November 22, in the funeral home.
