Obituary

ACTON: Carroll A. Huntington, Jr., 87, died peacefully and comfortably on November 6, 2013 surrounded by his family at Emerson Hospital in Concord following a period of declining health.
He was born in Newton on May 26, 1926 the son of the late Carroll A. Huntington, Sr. and Dorothy M. (Bartlett) Huntington.
He was the beloved husband of the late Rebecca Anderson Huntington who died on December 31, 2006.
Carroll is survived by his loving children Charles Huntington of Westport; Amy Huntington of Williston, VT and Lisa Huntington of Carlisle. Cherished grandfather of Corey, Graham, Bonnie, Jake and Carley.
Carroll has resided in Acton for the past 7 years and previously resided in Dover. He spent his youth in Wellesley and was a graduate of Wellesley High School with the Class of 1944. He served his country proudly during World War II with the United States Naval Reserve from 1944 through 1946. He received his BA in English from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH with the Class of 1950. He had a long and distinguished career as a copy writer and account executive in Providence, RI, Boston and Lexington with several advertising agencies. Some of his best known clients included General Electric; Smith and Wesson law enforcement devices; Aries Advertising and Instrumentation Laboratories.
A Memorial Service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the Trinitarian Congregational Church, 54 Walden Street, Concord.

Private family interment will be held at a later date at Swan Point Cemetery in Providence, RI.
In lieu of flowers, his family suggests memorial gifts in his memory may be sent to Alzheimers Assoc., 48 Pleasant St, Watertown, MA 02472.
