Obituary

Corriveau, Robert Edmond, of Marshfield, MA, formerly of Duxbury and Boston, passed away at the age of 83. He was born in Laconia, NH, July 25, 1930, son of the late Edmond and Alice (Johnson) Corriveau. He graduated from Laconia High School, Class of 1948. He was a graduate of Vesper George School of Art, Boston, MA. He served in the United States Army Medical Corps. during the Korean War for two years (1952-1954), honorably discharged as Sergeant. He joined Ingalls Associates Advertising Agency, Boston, MA in 1963 and retired as a Partner and Executive Vice President in 1987. Robert was a Master Mason for 58 years as a member of the Consolidated Lodge A.F. & A.M. Boston, MA. He was a Patron of Boston Symphony Orchestra for over thirty-five years. While living in Duxbury he was on the Board of Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra as well as South Shore Conservatory, Duxbury and worked tirelessly on the Ellison Center building and generously supported its existence. He also contributed to the Senior Center, Duxbury in its early years. Robert was a true gardener and this was easily observed by the gardens he established on the grounds of his home in Duxbury. He enjoyed traveling throughout Europe but his favorite was the English country side where he lived in the Cotswald Village of Chipping Campden several months each fall in retirement. Robert was a long standing member of the National Trust and Royal Oak Foundation, London, England. He was predeceased by his sister Barbara H. Flanders, Laconia, NH. He leaves his devoted partner of many years David Woodman Currier, his sister Jean B. Corriveau, Keene, NH, his nephews Kevin, Leon (Skip), Brian, Michael and his niece Lee Ann and great nephew Joseph Thifault and great nieces Karla and Tracy plus a host of good friends.
A graveside service will be held in Mayflower Cemetery in Duxbury on Tuesday, November 26 at 11:00 a.m.
