In Fall River, November 19, 2013, William F. Kingsland Sr. Age 84 passed away in Charlton Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness. William is survived by his wife Mary Jane (Mello) Kingsland of North Dighton. He was born in Attleboro, the son of the late Charles & Thelma (Parker) Kingsland. William has resided in Dighton most of his life. He was a graduate of Dighton High School, class of 1947. He also attended MA Trades School and several other technical schools. He was a oil burner technician and a refrigerator and air conditioner technician. William was a member of Teamster Local #653. He served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy on the USS Waccaman. William was a member of the VFW Post #115, a lifetime member of the Dighton Historical Society and the Taunton Yacht Club. Besides his wife, William leaves his two sons William Frederick Kingsland Jr. and his wife Karin of Fairhaven and Andrew Lawrence Kingsland and his wife Tammy of Taunton. His grandchildren, Tyler Joseph, Zachary William, Amanda Rose, Andrew Russell and Katelyn Alexandra Kingsland. William also was the brother of the late Gladys E. Kingsland. A funeral home service will be held on Friday, November 22nd at 12 pm. Visiting hours are prior to the service from 10:30-12 pm. Burial will be in the family lot in Rehoboth Village Cemetery in Rehoboth.
