Obituary

Lucien E. Lebrun 87, died Sunday November 17, 2013 surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Therese (Auger) Lebrun for fifty nine years. Born in Woonsocket, he was a son of the late Phillippe and Violet (Bartholomy) Lebrun. He was a card tender at Woonsocket Spinning Co. Lucien enjoyed westerns, action films and maintaining his home.

Lucien devoted his life to his family and always reminded them, “Where there is a will there is a way.” Despite his many hardships, he always said, “there is always someone worse off than me.” He always had a positive mindset, looked forward to each day as a new beginning, and loved his family unconditionally.

He is survived by his daughters; Jacqueline Giard and her husband Roger of Chepachet, and Denise Lebrun and daughter-in-law Jodi Lebrun both of Woonsocket, a brother Raymond Lebrun of Woonsocket, two grandchildren; Adam and Lindsay Rae Lebrun and great-grandchildren Leah Ann and Lucas. He was also the father of the late Roger Lebrun.

His funeral will be held Friday at 8:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Eugene’s Church, Putnam Pike, Chepachet. Burial will follow in St Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Thursday 5-8 PM.
