Emily M. Austin, a longtime resident of Woburn passed away at her home Monday, September 27, following a lengthy illness, she was the wife of the late Thomas M. Austin Sr. she was eighty-seven years old.
Born in Portsmouth, NH. She was the daughter of the late Pasqualina (Caggiano) and Vincent A. Pastore. She was formerly of East Boston and later of Medford, before she settled with her daughter in Woburn. Emily was a retired stitcher and a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She loved being with her family, baking and cooking for them and she enjoyed collecting dolls as her hobby.
In addition to her husband she was preceeded in death by her brother Fred G. Pastore and her sister Mary A. LaMonica.
Surviving are her daughter Barbara Ausilio of Woburn, a son Thomas M. Austin Jr. of Burlington. Her grandchildren Thomas M. Austin III, Derek A. and Michael C. Austin all of Florida, Victor G. Ausilio Jr. of Tewksbury, two great grandchildren Ryan and Kendle Austin and two brothers Americo Pastore of Fl., and Julio Pastore of Medford.
Her funeral will be held from the McLaughlin - Dello Russo Funeral Home, 60 Pleasant St. Woburn, on Thursday, September 30, at 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Barbara Church, 138 Cambridge Rd. Woburn at 11. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Cemtery, Malden.
Visiting Hours at the funeral home will be prior to the funeral mass from 9 to 10:30 AM.
