Hilda L. (Plotner) Anderson, 103, of Anderson, died November 17, 2013 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus after an extended illness.
She was born April 3, 1910 in Anderson, to Harry George and Amanda (Oberg) Plotner. She was a life long Anderson resident; graduated from Anderson High School and The Cincinnati Conservatory of Music.
She was a piano teacher.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church; Altrusa Club, Evening Musicale; Bar Maids (Wives of Bar Association Members); avid birdwatcher, nature lover and antique collector. She enjoyed her pets. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends in the 1816 log cabin that she and her sister, Gertrude bought in 1940.
Survivors include Marjorie Barnes, niece; Richard (Diane) Plotner, nephew; Rhett Plotner, great nephew; Brennon Plotner, great nephew all of Ft. Wayne; Jim Barnes, great nephew of Anderson; Lisa Paske, great niece of Ft. Wayne; John (Ingrid) Wiebke; grandson of Zionsville; two great grandchildren, Rebecca Wiebke and Jasper Wiebke.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold J. Anderson; sister, Gertrude Plotner brother, Richard Plotner and a niece, Rebecca Hedges.
Service will be Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 3:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastors Matt Manning and Paul Krebs officiating. Burial will be in Brookside Cemetery in Lapel. Visitation from 1:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church.
