BROOKFIELD-John F. O’Brien, 76, of 8 Nanatomqua Drive passed away peacefully Monday, September 27th in Lahey Clinic, Burlington with his family at his side after a sudden illness. He leaves his wife of 27 years, Yvette M. (Richard) O’Brien, 2 sons, John F. O’Brien, Jr. and Kevin F. O’Brien both of Worcester, a daughter, Colleen E. Gaffney of Boylston, 2 stepchildren, Daniel R. Bonnette and Deborah A. Bonnette both of Worcester and 11 grandchildren.
He was born one of six children to Frederick J. and Alice M. (Edwards) O’Brien. Mr. O’Brien was maintenance supervisor at Providence Extended Care Center until his retirement. He was previously employed at Arduinis Industrial Painting and Gene M. Quirion Painting. He was a talented woodworker and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
The funeral is Friday, October 1st from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a Mass at 11:00 AM in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be private. Calling hours are Thursday, September 30th from 6:00 until 8:00 PM in the funeral home.
