Alexander H. Glasgow, age 95 of New Bedford and previously Fall River, passed away Nov. 16, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital. He was the husband of the late Gilda (Silvia) Glasgow and the late Evelyn Rita (Camara) Glasgow. Born in Ashboro, NC, he was the son of the late Dallas and Florence (Johnson) Glasgow. He was a retired printer for High Point Box Co., a US Army Veteran of WW II, an avid bowler and Red Sox fan.
He is survived by his son: Alexander H. Glasgow Jr. (wife Cynthia) of Rochester, MA; granddaughter: Kristen Glasgow; great grandchildren: Nathanial Alarcon and Emily Glasgow; step daughter: Carol Winters (husband Tom) of Attleboro, MA; nieces & nephews. Alexander was predeceased by his brothers & sisters.
His funeral will take place in the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, 1521 N. Main St., Fall River on WEDNESDAY with as service at 11:30 A.M. Interment in Oak Grove Cemetery, Fall River. Calling hours on TUESDAY from 5-7:30 P.M. www.rogersfuneral.com.
