Mrs. Lucille Worth Taft, age 73, of Pearson, GA passed away at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Taft was born on January 24, 1940 in Douglas, GA to the late Warren Worth and Julie Wildes Worth.
Survivors include: her two daughters: Johnnie Mae Spivey of Ocoee, FL; Frances Lewis of Pearson, GA; three sons: Wayne Taft of Clarksville, GA; Russell Taft of Winter Garden, FL; and Buddy Ray Taft of Pearson, GA; two Brothers: Marvin Worth of Ocala, FL; and Jessie "J' Will Worth of Chatsworth, GA; Sister: Lucy Blanchard of Douglas, GA; Thirteen Grandchildren:H. D. Spivey; Stephanie Spivey, Lesley Lemon, Elizabeth Taft, Stacey Bass, Jessica Chazze, John "Bo" Taft, Kelly Taft, Alexis Taft, Tabitha Sanders, Tiffany Hampton, Melissa Madio, and Dennis Gray; Twenty-three Great Grandchildren, Several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Sunday, November 17, 2013 from 6 to 9 PM at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 18, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Chapel of Sims Funeral Home with the Rev. Edgar Musgrove officiating. Interment will follow at Jowers Chapel Cemetery in Atkinson County.
