Obituary

Paul R. Lewis, 86, of Westport died Thursday, November 14, 2013 at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. He was husband of Dorothy A. (Manchester) Lewis.
Born in Marcus Hook, PA, son of the late Archie Lewis and Arline M. Gardinier, he had lived in Fall River prior to moving to Westport in 1985. A veteran of WWII, he served his country as a signal man in the U.S. Navy. Prior to retirement in 1984, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service. Mr. Lewis was an avid gardener, liked corvettes, was a history buff and loved the New York Yankees.
Including his wife, survivors include a step-son: Mark W. Platt and his fiancée Darlene of Westport; a step-daughter: Linda M. Vautrin and her husband Norman of Westport; 5 step-grandchildren: Jodi, William, Scott, Kelly and Mark; and 3 step-grandchildren: William, Marissa and Allisa.
He was step-father of the late Gail Medeiros.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, November 19, 2013 at the Potter Funeral Home at 10:30 A.M.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 – 10:30 A.M. prior to the service.
Interment in Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
