Obituary

TEWKSBURY: Carroll E. “Pinky” Duwart, Sr., 83, was called home to the Lord on Friday, November 15, 2013. He died peacefully with his devoted daughter, Wanda Lougee by his side.
He was born on November 12, 1930 to the late Fannie (Stockbridge) and Augustus Duwart in Gloucester, MA. Growing up in Gloucester, Pinky graduated from Gloucester High School with the class of 1949 where he participated in the ROTC with a rank of Lieutenant. He served in the Army National Guard, Sergeant, Battery A 211th Field Artillery from 1950 to 1958.
“Pinky” worked at Gorton’s of Gloucester before landing a job at Gloucester Engineering where he worked for more than 30 years before retiring. Pinky loved his sports, music and dancing. He was a much loved person by anyone who knew him.
He is survived by his three daughters, Wanda Lougee, Pat Grecco, Debbie Weatherby, and his two sons, Steve Grecco and Carroll “Pinky” Duwart, Jr; seven grandchildren, Ryan, Cory, Pinky III, Michael, Faye, Woody and Corrine and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife of fifty years, Pauline Duwart; four brothers, William “Zeke” Enos, Austin Enos, Richard “Dickie” Duwart, and his identical twin, Carlton “ Bluey” Duwart and two sisters, Elva Silva and Arline Powers.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday November 20th at 10 a.m. at Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Lake Street, Peabody MA. He will be laid to rest with his wife Pauline.
