Frances Ellen Johnson Young, 81, of Tifton died Sunday, November 17, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Victory Baptist Church. Rev. Dan Eidson will officiate with burial to follow in Tift Memorial Gardens. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Mrs. Young was born on February 27, 1932 in Tifton and was the daughter of Ike M. Johnson, Sr. and Ellen Vining Johnson, both deceased. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Bobby H. Young. She was a homemaker and a member of Victory Baptist Church.
Mrs. Young is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Beverly Young of Tifton and Steve and Cathy Young of Moultrie; three daughters and sons-in-law, Charlotte and Terry Oliver of Tifton, Jill and Kenny Hill of Almartha, Missouri and Lori and Mayo Tucker of Tifton; two brothers, Ike Johnson, Jr. and Carl Johnson, both of Tifton; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren.
