Woonsocket
Juliette R. Girard, 89, died Friday at the Ballou Home. She was the wife of the late Eugene P. Girard. Born in Sanford, ME, she was a daughter of the late Donat and Louisiana (Dumas) Gingras. Mrs. Girard was a homemaker for most of her life. She also worked as a housekeeper for the Woonsocket Motor Inn for several years and as a sorter for Dodgeville Finishing in Attleboro.
She is survived by three sons, Normand Girard of Havelock, NC, Raymond and Eugene Girard, both of Woonsocket, two daughters Jeannette Benoit and her husband Alfred of Belchertown, MA and Lorraine Guilbault and her husband Guy of Woonsocket, three grandchildren, Matthew and Christina Benoit, and Guy Guilbault Jr., and three great-grandchildren, Mia, Chase and Lily. She is also survived by a brother, Richard Gingras of Pawtucket, six sisters, Florence Scotti , Helene Berthelette, Claire Haupt and Ida Brunelle all of Pawtucket, Rita Barrette of CT, and Irene Larocque of S. Attleboro. She was also the sister of the late Albert and Roger Gingras, Bernadette Duphily, Laurette Chamberland, Annette Grenon, Olivette Smith, and Cecile Boulais.
Her funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St., Woonsocket. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham. Visiting hours are Sunday 4-7 PM.
