Linehan of Cape Elizabeth, Maine and Edmund D. Linehan and his wife Sandra of So. Easton and brother of the late Mary R. (Linehan) Gordy and brother in law of the late Maryrose C. (Nagle) Linehan.
Funeral from the J. Frank Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) BrocktonThursday at 9 am. Funeral Mass in St.Ann’s Church, W.Bridgewater at 10 am. Burial in Calvary Cemetery. Obituary
Mr. Linehan died Sunday evening at Caritas Good Samaritan Medical Center after being stricken ill at his home. Born in Brockton, son of the late James E. and Lydia C. (Burke) Linehan. He had been a resident of West Bridgewater for the past 42 years. Educated in Brockton Schools, graduated from Brockton High School, Class of 1945. After high school Mr. Linehan served in the US Army during WW II. He was also a graduate of Fordham University Class of 1951 and graduate of Harvard Law School Class of 1954, recently attended his 50th Class reunion. Mr. Linehan was a practicing attorney in West Bridgewater, he was a member of the Plymouth County Bar Association, West Bridgewater Lions Club for 40 years and the Democratic Town Committee. Since 1980 Mr. Linehan had been a member of the Brockton County Club where he was an enthusiastic golfer. Former member Board of Directors of the Brockton Symphony Orchestra. A communicant of St. Ann’s Parish in West Bridgewater for forty two years, where he was a CCD teacher and lector.
He is survived by his wife Mary K. “Molly” (Diamond) Linehan, a son James M. Linehan of Chicago and a daughter, Jane Centrella and her husband John of W. Bridgewater and his week old grandson Vincent A. Centrella, two brothers, John R. Linehan of Cape Elizabeth, Maine and Edmund D. Linehan and his wife Sandra of So. Easton and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
