Joseph Peter Giza, age 81, passed away November 11, 2013 at Brandon Woods Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Margaret (Pacheco) Giza of 57 years, and son of the late Stanislaus and Aniela (Kryla) Giza. Joseph was a plastic cutter at Bee Plastics and Globe Manufacturing, a US Navy Korean War Veteran, and a member of the Over the Hill Gang. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, being a Eucharistic Minister at Espirito Santo Church and Charlton Memorial Hospital, and spending time with his grandchild.
Joseph is survived by his daughter Debra Daddona-Berube (husband Richard), two grandsons Nicholas and Jeffrey Daddona, two godsons Gary and David Cabral and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Emily Rys and Edward Girza.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME, INC. 1521 N. Main St. Fall River on SATURDAY at 9:00 A.M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Espirito Santo Church at 10:00 A.M. Entombment in Notre Dame Cemetery Mausoleum.
