The unofficial “Mayor of Spencer,” Richard S.J. Temple, often entered his favorite place, the Black & White Restaurant, smiling widely, arm in the air to modestly announce his presence to the wait staff and fellow diners. Richard left us on Friday November 8, 2013 and was welcomed into the arms of his late parents Bernadine (Carey) and Sidney Temple. He leaves 5 cousins, his caregivers Kevin & Diane Haynes, friends, co-workers and legions of fans at Seven Hills Foundation in Worcester where he worked for many years.
A visiting hour will be held from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Friday, November 15th in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
