Obituary

Maureen A. Daly, 70, of Ormond Beach, FL, died November 10, 2013 at Legacy Hospice House in Ocala, FL after a long illness.
She was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 24, 1943 to Dr. Kenneth J. and Emma (Holland) Daly.
Maureen graduated from St. Joseph High School for Girls in 1960 and Georgetown Visitation Junior College in 1962.
She became a flight attendant for Trans World Airlines in April, 1963 and spent her career flying with Trans World and American Airlines. Her work, in addition to domestic flights, took her to Europe, the Middle East, and the Far East. Travel was always an important part of her life.
Maureen spent her retirement in Ormond Beach, Florida.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Eileen M. Daly.
Family members include two sisters, Sheila Spence and her husband Bob of Morristown, FL, Kathleen Mirabile of Manchester; one brother, Kenneth Daly and wife Kathleen of Wallingford, CT; three nieces, Elizabeth Mirabile-Levens of Cheshire, CT, Catherine Mirabile of New York City, Christina McCue of Norfolk, MA; four nephews, Matthew Daly of Wallingford, CT, Kenneth Daly of Portland, CT, Mark Daly of Winchester, MA and Robert Spence of Tampa, FL.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, November 16, 2013 at St. Catherine Church, corner of Webster and Hemlock streets, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford.
The family suggests that memorial donations be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston or to the charity of one’s choice.
