Anthony C. “Tony” Andrykes, 75, of Medway, MA died Saturday, November 9, 2013 at his home surrounded by family. He was the beloved husband of Alma Lee (Hale) Andrykes who died in 2010.
Born in Baltimore, MD on April 1, 1938, he was the son of the late Stanley and Jennie (Nowakowski) Andrykes.
Tony was a resident of Medway for the past seven months and had formerly resided in Baltimore for most of his life. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves for two years during the early 1960’s.
Tony retired from the Steamship Trade Authority / International Longshoremen’s Assn. in Baltimore in 2003.
He is survived by a brother Edward Andrykes of Medway, two sisters, Rosalie Brooks of Brooklyn, CT and Janet West of Cockeysville, MD and several nieces, nephews and grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was the brother of the late Stanley Andrykes and Geraldine Vink-Boyd.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral Mass on Wednesday, November 13 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church in Medway.
Relatives and friends are also invited to attend a prayer service on Saturday, November 16 at 10 a.m. at the Evans Funeral Chapel Parkville, MD followed by graveside services in Forest Ridge Cemetery in Upperco, MD.
