GLOUCESTER: Richard A. “Richie” Todd, 63, died peacefully at his home on Thursday, November 7, 2013 with the care of his sister, Debi, niece, Flo and sister-in-law, Bertha.
Born in Gloucester on April 16, 1950, he was the son of the late Edward A. and Florence A. (Rust) Todd. A lifelong resident of Gloucester, Richie was an avid outdoorsman and loved his many sports and friends alike. He also enjoyed riding his bike and cleaning all kinds of copper wire. He especially loved to spend time with his family. Richie worked on the Gloucester waterfront for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Susie Todd; a son, Richie Todd and his wife, Ruth; a daughter, Paula Todd and her companion, Jeremy Moulton; seven grandchildren, Danielle and Richie Todd, Megan Lambert, Christopher Mayo, Asia Worthen and Adrian and Ryan Dehaan; three great-grandchildren, Zackary Winn, Andrew Bradford and Alana Mayo; five sisters, Sylvia Stillman, Linda Brown and her husband, Mark, Norma Hall, Debra Todd and Donna Allen and her husband, Rick; eight brothers, Eddie Todd and his wife, Bertha, Peter Todd and his wife, Barbara, Russell Todd, Dennis Todd, Kenny Todd and his wife, Margie, Michael Todd and his companion, Brenda Delaney, Ronnie Todd and Chris Todd and his wife, Debbie and many nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his sister-in-law, Ruth Todd and a nephew, Robbie Todd.
His funeral service will be held on Friday, November 15th in the Beechbrook Cemetery, Essex Ave., W. Gloucester at 1 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
