Shelley A. Furtado, 41, of Chester, NH passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 at the Elliot hospital, Manchester, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on October 27, 1972 in Lowell, MA a daughter of John A. Furtado Sr. and Paulette DeLisle. She was lovingly raised by the late Rhonda Furtado. Shelley was a graduate of Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH. She enjoyed drawing, crafting and gardening.
She is survived by her three sons, Joshua McCarthy, Jeremy McCarthy, and Jacob McCarthy, two daughters, Isabelle McCarthy and Charlie Parker, her father John A. Furtado Sr. and his girlfriend Joan, her mother, Paulette Bourbeau, one sister, Margie Furtado, one brother, John A. “Tony” Furtado Jr., one niece Brandy, three nephews, John, Corey and Gunner, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
There are no calling hours, Following Cremation a memorial Mass was held on Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at 11:00am in St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry. Burial will follow in Great Hill Cemetery, Chester. Memorial contributions may be made in Shelley’s memory to St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 26 Crystal Avenue, Derry, NH 03038. The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 15 Birch Street, Derry is assisting the family with arrangements.
