Obituary

Mr. Richard L. Gladue, 80 of Dracut, died Saturday at his home with his family. Born in Lawrence, Mr. Gladue had been an area resident all his life. The son of the late Oscar and Gertrude (Crucius) Gladue, he is a graduate of Central Catholic High School then when on to serve Honorably in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and achieved the rank of Sergeant. Upon returning home he was employed at Western Electric and went on to retire from Robinson’s Express. Mr. Gladue enjoyed carpentry, painting, and NASCAR. Most of all he loved to travel with his wife and spend time with his family. Mr. Gladue is survived by his wife of 57 years Patricia (Donahue) Gladue, three daughters: Judith and her husband Roger Marquis of Methuen, Katherine Chohan of Lowell, and Dawn and her husband Francis Holahan of Woburn. One son: Richard Gladue of Dracut, one sister: Evelyn and her husband Donald Bourassa of Laconia, NH. There are seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at Plonowski Funeral Home 180 Jackson Street, Lawrence. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 am, burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery in Dracut. Arrangements are under the direction of Edgar J. Racicot Inc.
