Obituary

HADLEY – Yvonne L. (LeClair) Guilbault, 86, of Hadley and a former longtime resident of the Aldenville section of Chicopee was Called Safely Home on Tuesday, November 5, 2013. She passed into Eternal Life at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte, Florida surrounded by the care and comfort of her loving family and her wonderful caregivers. She was born at home on Grattan Street in the Aldenville section of Chicopee on May 19, 1927, a beloved daughter of the late William and Alberine (Cusson) LeClair. She was raised in the Aldenville section of Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee High School and lived in the family home on Grattan Street in Aldenville for many years. She left her family home in Aldenville around 1989 and moved to West Springfield where she lived until moving to Hadley in 2011. For the past 20 years, Yvonne was a ‘snowbird’ and wintered in sunny Florida. She was employed for many years at the Smith & Wesson Company in Springfield before retiring in 1992. During her leisure time, Yvonne was often seen at many of the local bingo games here and in Florida and was always ready for a good game of cards with her family and her many friends. Yvonne was a wonderful homemaker to her family and showered them with her love and affection which was returned to her a thousand fold. She was predeceased by her beloved husband and best friend, Rosaire A. Guilbault who was Called Home on August 22, 1970. They were married on May 31, 1948 at Sainte Rose de Lima Church in Chicopee and were blessed with only 22 years of happiness together. She leaves her loving children, Elaine L. Bradley and her husband, Roy, of El Joben, FL, Alan R. Guilbault and his wife, Joanne, of Hadley, and Gary J. Guilbault and his wife, Lauren, of Westhampton; her five cherished grandchildren, Duane Bradley and his wife, Lisa, Mark Bradley and his wife, Adelaide, Shawn Guilbault, Alan R. Guilbault, Jr. and his wife, Nicole, and Heather Guilbault; her five cherished great-grandchildren, Hannah and Hayden Bradley, David Bradley, and Conner and Cody Guilbault; her dear sister-in-law, Patricia LeClair of Chicopee; her dear sisters-in-law of the Guilbault family, Rita Guilbault of Austin, TX, and Elsie Guilbault of Sherbrooke, Province of Quebec, Canada; and her many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended members of the Guilbault and LeClair families. Besides her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by her dear brother, Norman LeClair; her dear sister, Lucille LaFleche; and her close friend, Irene Mason. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday morning, November 13, 2013 beginning at the St. Pierre – Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020, (funeral home will open at 9 a.m.), followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in Sainte Rose de Lima Church, 600 Grattan Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her burial will follow the Mass at Sainte Rose Cemetery, 49 Olsen Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The parking lot and main entrance are located in the rear of the funeral home at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
