Woonsocket
Doris T. (St. Jean) Riendeau, 87, of Winthrop St. died Wednesday at home. She was the wife of Jean Leo Riendeau. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Remi and Florida (Chagnon) St. Jean. Doris was a member of St. Ann’s Ladies Guild. She was a faithful believer in the Blessings of Notre Dame du Cap.
Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters; Diane Encarnation and her husband Charles of Pascoag, and Yolande Riendeau and her partner Heidi Gervais of Providence, two sons; Jean Riendeau and his wife Ann of S. Kingstown and Gerard Riendeau and his wife Elizabeth of Dublin Ohio, her son-in-law John Boucher of Manville, seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Denise Boucher, and sister of the late Jack, Robert, and Joseph St. Jean, Pierette Farley, and Florentine Poisson.
Her funeral will be held Thursday at 10:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 99 Cumberland St., Woonsocket, RI with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM in All Saints Church, Rathbun St. Woonsocket. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery in Cumberland. Visiting hours are Wednesday 4-7 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to Our Lady of the Cape Shrine, 626 Rue Notre Dames Est, Trois -Rivieres, Quebec, G8T 4G9 Canada, in her memory would be appreciated.
