Benjamin T. Lackie, Jr., 79, of New Bedford died November 8, 2013 at Sippican Healthcare Center after a brief illness.
Born in New Bedford, the son of the late Benjamin and Annie (Wimer) Lackie, he lived in New Bedford most of his life.
Mr. Lackie served in the U.S. Army with Special Services in Germany during the Korean War.
He was an amateur film maker and he enjoyed the arts.
Survivors include his longtime companion, Dorothy Beaumont of New Bedford and her 3 children, Rick Beaumont of Fairhaven, John Beaumont of New Bedford and Beth Alvernaz of Mashpee.
His Funeral Services will be private.
