Obituary

Fernande C.(Badeau) Deguire, 94, formerly of St. Germain Manor, died comfortably Friday, November 1, 2013, at her daughter Paulette’s home. She was the wife of the late Bernard Deguire who passed in 2005.
She was born in Fortierville, PQ, Canada on April 20, 1919, a daughter of the late Emile Badeau and Eugenie (Mercier) Badeau. Mrs. Deguire worked at Woonsocket Dress in Woonsocket, RI before retiring. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Senior Citizens, St. Louis Senior Citizens, The Royal Travelers, and The Golden Hearts Club.
She is survived by two sons; Raymond Deguire of Woonsocket, and Bernard Deguire Jr. of Cumberland, two daughters; Constance Choiniere and her husband Lucien of Proctorsville, VT, and Paulette Makowski and her husband Donald of Webster, MA, eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren ,and one great great grandchild.
She was the sister of the late Georgette Faubert, Marguerite Giguere, Jeanne Coutu, Germaine Gravel, Clement Badeau, and Claude Badeau.


Her funeral with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday at 10:30AM in St. Joseph’s Church, Mendon Rd, Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. The family will receive guests in the vestibule of the church at 10:00. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to : The Alzheimer’s Assoc., Rhode Island Chapter, 245 Waterman St, Ste 306, Providence, RI 02906-5215.
