Passed away peacefully with family surrounding him on Thursday, November 7, 2013. Preceded in death by first wife Shirley; son Duane; grandson Andrew; parents LaRue & Florence and brother Roy. Survived by wife of 50 years, Virginia; children Gordon (LeAnn), John (Patty), Janice Geist, Barbara, Audrey "Andi" Brinkman (Mike), Keith and Thomas (Vicky); 15 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and other relatives & friends. Lifetime member of North St. Paul VFW Post #1350 and American Legion Post #39. Service Tuesday (11/12) at 11:00 AM at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Avenue, North St. Paul with visitation one hour before the service. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred to The Epilepsy Foundation or the National Federation of the Blind.
