WORCESTER-Marjorie A. (Neargaard) Anderson, 80 of 10 Mary Scano Drive formerly of Auburn and Millbury died Sunday, September 26th in Saint Vincent Hosptial after an illness. Her husband Herbert E. Anderson died in 1969. She leaves 2 daughters, Linda M. wife of David H. Fabrizius of Auburn and Nancy E. wife of John D. Fenton of Worcester, 4 grandchildren, John M. Scannell and Joe and his wife Lynne Fenton both of Millbury, Randall J. Fenton and Katie-Lyn M. Fenton both of Worcester, 3 great grandchildren, Brandon, Blake and Kylie and a niece Sandra Neargaard of Littleton. Her brother, Charles E. Neargaard predeceased her.
She was born in Worcester the daughter of Charles W. and Gertrude E. (Dickson) Neargaard, graduated from South High School and the Salter Secretarial School. Mrs. Anderson worked as the financial manager for many years for the Bancroft School in Worcester, retiring in 1992. She was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Auburn. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, vacationing in Cape Cod and the beach.
The funeral is Tuesday, September 28th, with a service at 11:00 AM in Bethel Lutheran Church, 90 Bryn Mawr Avenue, Auburn. Burial will be in All Faiths Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, September 27th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Bethel Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 90 Bryn Mawr Avenue, Auburn, MA, 01501.
