TEWKSBURY - Evelyn Alyce (MacDonald) Taylor, age 82, a resident of Tewksbury for the past 45 years, died peacefully on Friday morning, November 8, at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill, surrounded by her beloved family. She was the devoted wife for 60 years of Glenroy E. Taylor, who predeceased her on January 9.th
Mrs. Taylor was born in Arlington, on September 29, 1931, one of three children of the late John and Margaret (Kelley) MacDonald. She was raised in Somerville where she remained until moving her family to Tewksbury in 1967.
She was a communicant of St. William’s Church.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-laws, Brenda and George Varitimos of Hampton Beach, NH, Jane and Edward Charity of Windham, NH; two sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Patricia (Audette) Taylor of Watertown, NY and David and Diane (McCormick) Taylor of Tewksbury; eight grandchildren, Jennifer Johnson, Stanley Sawlan, Glen, Shane, April, Kasey, Ashlee and Ryan Taylor and step grand children, Stacey Obrien, Jennifer Phillips and Edward C. Charity and several great grandchildren and step grandchildren; and was sister of the late John MacDonald and Anne Mallahan.
Her Funeral Mass was held Tuesday, Nov. 12, in St. William’s Church, 1351 Main St. (Rte 38) Tewksbury. Burial followed at Tewksbury Cemetery.
