Lorraine Fussell Vickers, age 84, of Ambrose, GA passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2013, at her residence following an extended illness. Ms. Vickers was born on September 28, 1929, in Ambrose, GA to the late Elijah J. Fussell and Jessie Williams Fussell.
Survivors include: two daughters, Marie (Clinton) McKinnon and Linda (Bynum) Standridge both of Ambrose, GA, sister, Shirley Kight of Ambrose, GA, five grandchildren, Scott Standridge, Amy Standridge Smith, Lorie Browning, April Miller, and Tracy Davis, twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Vickers.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Westwood Baptist Church with Rev. George Carroll Paulk and Rev. Robert Couey officiating. Interment will follow at New Hope Church Cemetery.
