Obituary

Rodney Lamar Hall, Sr., 57, of Ocilla, Georgia died Wednesday, November 6, 2013, at his residence.

Memorial services will be held 11 AM, Saturday, November 9, 2013, at the Fitzgerald Church of God with the Rev. Dewain Joiner officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.

Mr. Hall was born March 10, 1956, in Muscogee County, Georgia, to the late Raymond Clyde & Ruby Ellen Wright Hall. A 1976 graduate of Jordan Vocational High School in Columbus, he received his electrician and industrial maintenance training from East Central Technical College. He was an electrician for trailer plants including Fleetwood, Pioneer, and Sweet Water. He loved to watch wrestling and racing and loved to fish. He enjoyed picking up pecans with his family. He was a wonderful family man and was of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years: Sheila Hall of Ocilla; children and their spouses: Tiffany Lynn Smith of Fitzgerald, Rodney Lamar Hall, Jr. of Columbus, Shonia & Ronnie Tanner of Fitzgerald, Amber & Allen Elsberry of Abbeville, Christy Rhodes of Fitzgerald, and Daniel Andrew Rhodes, Jr. of Fitzgerald; nine grandchildren; a brother: Randy Clyde & Jeanne Hall of Albany; a sister: Ronda Hall Davis of Tifton; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson: Bradley Cole Tanner, a brother-in-law: Jackie Davis and a nephew: Adam Christian Hall.
