Shirley L. (Snow) Krugger, age 91, of West Bridgewater, died Tuesday November 5, 2013 at the Bridgewater Nursing Home. She was the wife of the late Richard Edmund Krugger, Sr., former Selectman of West Bridgewater. Born in Brockton, daughter of the late Earle H. and Etta L. (Braley) Snow. She attended Brockton schools, graduated with the class of 1940, and was a member of the 1940 Class Reunion Committee. She worked at New England Telephone Company and retired in 1986.
Shirley was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers, Past President of the West Bridgewater Lioness and past member of the Community Lions. She was a member of the Bridgewater Visiting Nurses Assoc., former member of the Democratic Town Committee and member of the West Bridgewater Senior Citizens. She enjoyed ceramics, traveling the world with her late husband, and loved to spend time with her family at Duxbury Beach.
She is survived by a daughter Sandra Ann Reed of West Bridgewater and a son Richard Krugger and his wife Sally of West Bridgewater; six grandchildren, Colleen Fisher, Brandi Richmond, Tiffany Patounas, Matthew Krugger, Kerry Smith and Robert Reed. She was the grandmother of the late Kimberly (Reed) Walsh. She also leaves ten great grandchildren.
Visiting Hours will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton Thursday 4-8pm. The funeral procession will gather at the funeral home Friday at 9am for a funeral Mass in St. Ann Church, West Bridgewater at 10am. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery.
