Stephen A. Girard, 67, of Tucker Street in Chepachet, died Monday, November 4, 2013 at Miriam Hospital in Providence. He was the husband of Maureen T. (Steere) Girard. They were married for 24 years.
Born in Providence, he was a son of the late William L. and Beatrice E. (Fusco) Girard. He lived in Chepachet for 28 years previously lived in Johnston.
Stephen was a heavy equipment operator for Local 57 Providence. He was an honorary member of the Smithfield Sportsman’s Club and was a former volunteer fireman for the Harmony Fire Dept.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Julie A. Girard of North Scituate and Christopher W. Girard of Chepachet; a brother, Wayne W. Girard of Chepachet and a grandson, Sean Bagdanovich.
His funeral will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville, RI. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Park, Johnston. Visitation Friday 4-7 PM.
