Madeleine S. (Bussiere) Keaveney, 90, of Manchester, died October 30, 2013 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving children and dedicated caregivers after a long period of declining health.
She was born in Manchester in 1923 to Joseph A. and Emerentienne B. (Gagnon) Bussiere. She graduated from Manchester High School West in 1941 and was a lifelong resident of Manchester.
Before marriage and motherhood, Mrs. Keaveney was employed by the Manchester Gas Company for 14 years. In 1968, she re-entered the workplace at New Hampshire Catholic Charities for 36 years, serving in many capacities, including office manager for several years.
She will be remembered as a caring and devoted wife, mother and friend.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas J. Keaveney in 1998; a sister, Rolande M. Beland; and a brother, Emile R. Bussiere.
Her family includes two children, Brian T. Keaveney of Manchester and Janice A. Keaveney Wargnier of Woodland Hills, CA; a sister, Beth L. Spencer of Somers, CT; a brother, Robert R. Bussiere of Manchester; two brothers-in-law, James V. Keaveney of Bedford and Millard Smith of Gilford; a sister-in-law, Joan Bussiere of Manchester; and cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at St. Joseph Cathedral, Manchester. Committal prayers followed at St. Joseph Cemetery, 448 Donald St., Bedford, NH.
