Obituary

Margaret England of South Boston, born and raised in Charlestown, before marrying the late Robert England. Beloved mother of Ellen McDonough of Orlando, Florida, Robert and his wife Rosemary of South Boston, Maureen England and her husband Richard Flippin of Norton, Joseph England and his wife Mary Lou of Squantum and Sr. Kathie Shea, MMM of Nairobi, Kenya.

Treasured Nana to Kate Martin, her husband Jason and son Coleman of Orlando, FL, Kerry McDonough of Washington, D.C., Brendan and Ryan England of South Boston, Jared, Molly and Caitlin Flippin of Norton, and Emily and Joseph England of Squantum.

Dearest Auntie and Nana to Patricia England of Boston and her children, Erika England Righter of Denver, Colorado and Charles Righter of Marlborough, MA.

Margaret, employed for many years at the Suffolk County Court House, passed peacefully at Marian Manor on November 2nd. Margaret was 86 years old and her impish humor was still evident mere hours before she passed away.

Margaret was a true character. It would be the rare occasion for whatever room she honored with her presence to not be illuminated by the sparkle in her eyes. Margaret instantly made friends throughout her life, no matter where she was. Included among those friends are the special ones she made while residing at Marian Manor for the past three years. Her family will be forever grateful to those friends and to the nurses, aides and other Manor staff, for the warmth, kindness, dignity and respect with which they embraced Margaret during her stay there.

Funeral from the Casper Funeral Home, 187 Dorchester St., South Boston at 9:30 A.M on Thursday, November 7th. Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 A.M. in St. Brigid Church. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Cops for Kids with Cancer. P.O. Box 850956, Braintree MA 02185 or at their website, www.copsforkidswithcancer.org.
