Nancy E. (Sullivan) Durkin, 80, of West Boylston, formerly of Boylston, died Monday, November 4th at home. She was the wife of John J. Durkin, Jr. who died in 1979. She leaves her son, Jeffrey C. Durkin and his wife, Elizabeth of Shrewsbury; two daughters, Deborah A. Coleman of Spencer and Dawn E. Caccavaro and her husband, Louis of Medway; six grandchildren, Jaime and Jack Durkin, Christina Coleman, James, John and Devin Caccavaro; and several nephews and nieces.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Charles F. “Jeff” Sullivan, who served as Lieutenant Governor and Mayor of Worcester and Helen N. (McMahan) Sullivan. Nancy had worked as a realtor for Susan Meola Properties and as a substitute teacher in Boylston. Mrs. Durkin was a graduate of Regis College, a member of St. Mary of the Hills Parish and an active member of the Hillside Village Community.
Her funeral is Saturday, November 9th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester with a funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary of the Hills Church, 650 Cross Street, Boylston. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery, Boylston. Calling hours are Friday, November 8th from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
