OXFORD –Darlene D. “Deede” (Smith) Rolfe, 52, died Sunday, November 3, 2013 in UMass/Memorial Hospital, Worcester, with her family at her side.
She leaves a son, James P. Smith and his fiancée Amy Arseneault of Dudley; 2 grandchildren, Justin and Cameron Smith; 7 siblings, Valorie S. Bailey and her husband Will of Indianapolis, IN, James D. Smith, Jr. and his wife Sandy of Oxford, June D. Forand and her husband Albert of Charlton, Allan E. Smith of Florida, Marion “Penny” Rood and her husband Michael, and Maureen E. Forand and her companion Ralph Peterson, all of Oxford, and Doreen “Pebbles” DeWitte and her husband Brian of Webster; many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, the daughter of James and Marion (Niall) Smith and lived in North Oxford most of her life.
She was a waitress at several local restaurants. Her main occupation was being a homemaker. She enjoyed riding motorcyles and loved animals, especially dogs, squirrels and dolphins.
Calling hours will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Saturday, November 9, in the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, Webster. A funeral service will be held at noon during the calling hours. Donations in her name may be made to the Worcester Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
