Florence M. Dauphin 98, formerly of Early Village in Blackstone, MA, died Thursday at Philip Hulitar Center. She was the wife of the late Joseph A. Dauphin. Born in Woonsocket, she was a daughter of the late Jules and Analda (Lefebvre) Tessier. Florence was a clerk at the former Robert’s Children’s Shop for twenty eight years before retiring in 1989.
She is survived by a daughter, Lucille M. Salvas of Woonsocket, and four granddaughters, Melissa Souers of Marietta, GA, Tracey Gentile of Juneau, AK, Colette Herrick of Mansfield, MA, and Danielle Cantin of Concord, NH, and two great-granddaughters, Katelynn and Rayna. She was also the mother of the late Raymond J. Dauphin and sister of the late Sr. Marguerite Tessier, Eugenie, Jules and Ernest Tessier.
Her funeral with visitation will be held Monday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM in St. Paul’s Church, St. Paul’s St., Blackstone. Burial will be held in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery in Bellingham.
