Obituary

Edgar J. Levasseur, 89, of Worcester formerly of Florida died Thursday, October 31st in the Life Care Center of Auburn. He leaves many nieces and nephews including, Linda Brown of Worcester with whom he lived, Michele Aiksnoras and her husband, Michael of Worcester and Debra Sanborn and her husband, Peter of North Brookfield; three step-sons, Jack Armstrong and his wife, Gail of West Boylston, Peter Armstrong and his wife, Cheryl of Rockledge, FL and Paul Armstrong and his wife, Kathy of Kissimmee, FL and several grandchildren. He also leaves Steve Varnum who was like a son to him. He was predeceased by his first wife, Alice (Coleman) Levasseur, his second wife, Doris (Duhamel) Levasseur and his sister, Rita Abou-Adal who died in 2001.
He was born in Fitchburg the son of Edgar and Ruth (Lamothe) Levasseur. Mr. Levasseur was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Edgar owned and operated The Aquarium Center in West Boylston for many years, retiring in 1989. He previously worked for Perma Life delivering fish and worked as a welder. Mr. Levasseur was an avid photographer and enjoyed taking home movies. He also enjoyed making his own beer.
Funeral services and burial will be private. O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue is directing arrangements.
