Edmond R. “Pete” Joyce, 82, of Tiverton, passed away Friday, November 1, 2013 at home. He was the husband of Delores (Ferreira) Joyce.
Born in Cranston, RI and son of the late James and Cecilia (Dube) Joyce, he was a lifelong resident of Tiverton. A veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Joyce served his country in the United States Army. He had worked as a custodian for the Tiverton School Department and was the Foreman of Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.
Survivors along with his wife include his daughter: Deborah Joyce of NM; his brother: James Joyce of NY; 1 sister: Margaret Joyce of Fall River; 3 granddaughters: Linda L. Dusseault, Deborah L. Borges and Jessica A. McKane; 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Rose Gagnon and Cecilia Blakey.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, November 4, 2013 from the Potter Funeral Home at 9:30 A. M. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Theresa’s Church, Tiverton.
Calling hours will be Sunday from 4-7 P.M.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Tiverton.
