Obituary

GLOUCESTER: Ruth P. (Perkins) Woodbury, 90, died Thursday, October 17, 2013 in Emeritus at Cherry Hill Assisted Living, Danvers. She was the wife of the late Roger B. Woodbury who died in 1982.
Born in Quincy on June 12, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Helen (Keach) Perkins. She had resided in Weston from 1961 to 1985 before moving to Gloucester in 1985.
Ruth was a painter, quilter and calligrapher. She was active in the Chorus North Shore and volunteered at the Cape Ann Historical Museum. Her artwork was exhibited at the Rockport Art Association as well as other galleries in Gloucester and Rockport.
She is survived by her two sons, Roger H. and James C. Woodbury and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also predeceased by her son, Arthur Woodbury who died in 2011.
Her funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd in the Independent Christian Church, Unitarian Universalist, corner of Church St. & Middle St., Gloucester at 2 p.m. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
