Joan Dietz
Sept. 4, 1932 to Oct. 29, 2013

Joan Dietz, 81, of Anderson died October 29, 2013 at Community Northview Nursing Home after an extended illness.

Joan was born September 4, 1932 in Covington, Kentucky.

She was the Food Service Manager for Payless Grocery 35 years before retiring on September 19, 1997.

She graduated from Anderson High School.

She was a member of East Lynn Christian Church; Chapter 591 of the Order of the Eastern Star
where she served as a past matron; Bethesda White Shrine where she served as Past Worthy High Priestess; Past President of Past Worthy Priestess Club; past President of State White Shrine Association.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Edward Dietz of Anderson whom she married August 20, 1949 in Chesterfield; daughter, Donna (Irvan) Plummer of Georgia; son, Tom (Thelma) Dietz of Anderson; one sister, Shirley Runge of Covington, KY; 2 brothers, Leslie (Mary Ann) Fulmer of Covington, KY; and Hugh Fulmer of Florida; a sister in law, Zelma Trueblood of Anderson, Seven grandchildren; 11 Great Grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by son, Stephen Dietz and 3 siblings

Service will be Friday, November 1, at 10:00 A.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Susan Cameron officiating. Entombment will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday, from 3 to 7 PM.

Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or East Lynn Christian Church Food Pantry.

The family wishes to thank Dr, Eddy, Dr. Blankenship, and Dr. Kelly Riggs and the staff at Community Northview for the special care of Joan during her illness.
