Angelina Alongi died peacefully at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital of Medford. She was 89.
Miss Alongi was born in Boston, the daughter of the late Casimiro and Anna (Vaccaro) Alongi.
A Malden resident for most of her life she worked as a seamstress at Caputo Sportswear and was a member of the Ladies Garment Workers Union.
The beloved sister of Josephine Wootan, Elena Covino, Dorothy Candeloro and her husband Robert all of Malden and the late Frank and Antoinette Alongi, She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Saturday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant Street, Malden, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 – 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
