Louise H. Williams, 68, of Eynon, died Monday at home after a brief illness. Her husband of 25 years is Benjamin Williams.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late William and Anna Slagan Holweg, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and attended Lackawanna Junior College. A member of Covenant Presbyterian Church, she was employed by Hospice St. John until her retirement. She was a dedicated volunteer with SCOLA, the Women's Resource Center and the Scranton Primary Health Care Center.
The family would like to extend its deepest gratitude to all of her nurses and aides at Southern Care Hospice.
Also surviving are two sons, Harry Stanton and wife, Maria, Scranton; and Ben Williams, Scranton; two daughters, Brenda Kreidler and husband, Keith, Tennessee; and Kathleen Stanton, Scranton; nine grandchildren, Ava and Isabella Stanton, Nadia Wegleski, Briana, Ariana and Keith Kreidler, Benny, Thianda and Gabriella Williams; a great-grandson, Damien; a sister, Frieda Wasnowic and husband, Joseph, Scranton; a brother, Carl Holweg and wife, Susan, Clarks Summit; nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sons, Tony and Billy Williams; a brother, Albert Holweg; and a sister, Hannah Snyder.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Michael P. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 129 Grant St., Olyphant. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
