Obituary

Kalliope (Kiniklis) Karafotis, 91, of Dartmouth died September 23, 2004 at Sacred Heart Home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Demetrios Karafotis.

Born in Mytilene, Greece, the daughter of the late Theodore and Eleni (Paraskevopoulo) Kiniklis, she came to the United States in 1956, living in New Bedford before moving to Dartmouth 30 years ago.

Mrs. Karafotis was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church and the Ladies Philoptochos Society. She was a very religious and avid churchgoer. Her spiritual life was very important to her. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed traveling, reading and gardening.

Survivors include a son, Spiro Karafotis of Dartmouth; a daughter, Helen Kronteres of Dartmouth; a sister, Kay Koginos of New Castle, Penn.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late John Karafotis.

Visiting hours Friday, September 24th from 4-8 PM.

Interment Pine Grove Cemetery.
