Joseph “Dick” Levasseur, 66, of Leesburg, FL, formerly of Southern NH, passed Saturday, October 26, 2013, surrounded by his family. He was born in Lowell, MA to the late Rene and Bertha (Coutu) Levasseur. He attended Lowell Vocational School and worked as a Sheetmetal/HVAC contractor for many years.
Mr. Levasseur was an avid New England sports fan and enjoyed following his grandchildren’s endeavors. He will forever be remembered as “Pepere” to all.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 36 years, Linda (Lovett) Levasseur, four children, Laura Healy and her husband Stephen of Hooksett, NH, Daniel Post and his wife Lisa of Chester, NH, Sheryl Sullivan and her husband Timothy of Merrimack, NH, and Jennifer Camara, also of Merrimack, a brother, Paul Levasseur of Concord, NH, a sister, Suzanne Renoux and her husband Ken of Meredith, NH, and a sister-in-law, Shirley Boone, of Starke, FL. He also had many grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Roland Levasseur.
Calling hours were held Thursday October 31, 2013 from 5 to 8pm in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Road, Londonderry, NH. A funeral service was Friday at 12 pm in the funeral home. The burial was in Riverview Cemetery in Groveland, MA.
