Therese M. (Filteau) Godbout, 84, of Manchester died October 28, 2013 at the Hillsborough County Nursing Home after a period of declining health.
She was born on May 27, 1929, in Manchester the daughter of Alcide and Anna (Bourque) Filteau. She was educated in the local school system.
Prior to retirement, she had been employed as a nurse's aide at Hackett Hill Healthcare center for 10 years. Previously, she had worked in the local mills for many years.
Therese enjoyed knitting, sewing, cooking, baking and shopping. Above all else, she will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who cherished time with family.
The family would like to thank the staff at Hillsborough County Home for the wonderful care they gave Therese during her stay.
She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Roger A. Godbout in 2009. She was also predeceased by siblings Rita, Aime, Albert, Arthur, Emile and Roland Filteau, Marcelle DeGrandmaison.
Family members include her children, Daniel R. and Patricia Godbout of Nottingham, David A. and Diana L. Godbout of No. Weare, Ronald A. and Lynne Godbout of Hooksett, Raymond R. and Theresa Godbout of Goffstown, Diane and Bruce Dame of Derry; her grandchildren, Lisa Levesque, Jennifer Normandin, Christopher Godbout, Melanie Szulc, Jessica Godbout, Joshua Godbout, Jonathan Godbout; step-grandchildren, Jason Dobe and Vikki Marks; her great-grandchildren, Marissa Levesque, Kyleigh Levesque, Kamilla Normandin, Alina Normandin, Audrey Godbout, Juliette Godbout, Isabella Godbout, Haylie Szulc, and Wyatt Szulc; her siblings, Anita Fraser of Manchester and Roger Filteau of Maine; many nephews, nieces and cousins.
A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Thursday, October 31, 2013 in Blessed Sacrament Church, So Elm St.
Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
