Eric F. Jancaterino, age 42, of Mansfield, formerly of Holbrook and Quincy passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, October 27, 2013.
Born in Quincy, MA on November 21, 1970, he was a loving son of George F. Jancaterino of Quincy and Carol A. (Lucier) Lane of Mansfield and the late A. Fred Lane.
Eric grew up and was educated in Quincy, and was a 1989 graduate of North Quincy High School. He had worked as a Sand Hog for Local 88,Tunnels Workers Union.
Eric loved spending time with his children, his niece and his nephew. As a proud uncle, he cherished the times spent attending his nephew Mike’s sporting events. He had made his home in Mansfield for the past 5 years and was a former resident of Holbrook and Quincy.
In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by his devoted children, Ashley R. Jancaterino and Domenic E. Jancaterino both of Milton. He was the dear bother of Kari A. Barresi and her husband Salvatore of Mansfield. He was the adoring uncle of Erika Barresi and Michael Barresi both of Mansfield. He was the former husband of Lisa Jancaterino of Milton and is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the beloved grandson of the late Charles and Yola Jancaterino and Bernard and Alice Lucier.
Visiting hours, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be held on Thursday, October 31st from 4:00-7:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
